Pass-through charging will fully charge our mobile phone first, then charge our LinkPod X external battery pack. Thus, we don't need to take another charger to charge our backup battery while traveling.
You can either plug the USB-C interface directly into a charging socket or use the charging cable to connect the socket to the charging port.

iWALK Portable Charger with Changeable Plugs 5000mAh
These mini chargers seem to be all the rage now, and it’s inevitable that anyone “on the go” doesn’t like to be caught without battery recharging power now. There’s a plethora of these to choose from, so why this iWALK Portable Charger?
For me, it’s the changeable connectors and the attached cap cover. Oh and, as well, it’s also the 5000mAh, offering more than one “at bat” to charge up your devices quickly. Let’s look first at those interchangeable plugs, before we look at efficiency and speed.

As this shows, the iWalk battery interchanges USB A and C connectors, to accommodate older lightning devices as well as the new C-charged devices such as iPhone 15. And it’s as easy as changing your shoes from office to evening…actually simpler because no laces lollll. I was able to change by unlocking and locking one connector to another in less than 10 seconds. This is an outstanding feature, esp for those who upgraded to those Apple 15 phones but still have other devices …AirPods or watches or iPads, that requires lightening female connectors to recharge them. And the interchangeable connector not being used stores right on the charger itself (photo and shown in video). Boom.
Size?
A navy blue competitor model, seen in vid and photos, shows how this iWalk is slightly thicker (a bit less “lipstick-y”) but still very portable. Fits in pocket, purse, tote, etc and actually weighs the same as navy competitor model.
How does this perform?
Out of the box, this was charged at 25%. After checking on it after 4 hours it was charged to 100%. So it fully charged in less than four hours.
Using my iPhone 13 Pro Max (well known fact they charge more slowly regardless of charging device, so that must must be factored into my test here): My phone was at 87% battery and in minutes it was at 89% —with a basic bs military clear case on the phone. Boom.
On another note, this battery shows the % of charge remaining vs those cryptic dots that leave you wondering if your two little dots (out of 4) mean you have 49% or 26% power left. That’s a plus for me as well.
Oh…and wait there’s more (Edith Bunker style storytelling here lol) it’s made of grippy silicone. WITH AN ATTACHED CONNECTOR CAP. No worrying about losing that little cap, like with competition models. Double boom.
In all, this iWalk portable charger is a sporty looking device that compliments the sleek looks of today’s tech. Its attractive silver color coordinates with just about any shade of device you’ve got. And it works, right out of the box, with great ease. Should this assessment change, after time and use, I’ll be sure to edit this review accordingly. But for now? Boom. Just get it.
