FAQ
1.How long does it take to charge the power bank?
With a 20W USB-C fast charger, the power bank takes approximately 2.5 hours to fully charge. Using a 30W USB-C fast charger reduces this time to just 1.8 hours.
2.How to check the remaining battery on the power bank?
LED digital display, check the remaining power anytime, anywhere.
3.Power bank charging habits and best practices
To preserve battery lifespan, use and recharge at least once every 4 mouths.
Use original or certified cables.
Do not expose to liquids.
Avoid use at too low or too high a temperature
4.How to turn off iwalk portable charger?
Quickly double-tap the power on/off button or automatically power off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
5.What's the pass-through charging function?
Simultaneous charging of the phone and power bank at the same time and pass-through charging will fully charge the mobile phone first, then charge the product.
6.Why is my power bank providing fewer charges than expected?
The capacity reduction during charging is due to a 30% to 45% energy loss in the battery cells and conversion circuitry. Therefore, a fully charged LinkPod Switch (5K) offers an estimated 5800mAh to power devices.
I made some measurements for those who want to see how this power bank performs. For those with high power devices that support USB Power Delivery(PD) for charging, this is a reasonably fast charger. You can read other reviews if you want to know about the size, weight, and features of the device. For testing, I used a Motorola Thinkphone which has a 5000 mAh battery. This phone can suck 68W out of a special Motorola charger and cable and will pull 40W out of a high power PD charger and cable. So what will this power bank do?The two photos with the brown wood background show the power delivered by the power bank. The first is using the attached reel cable. The second is using a high power 5A USB cable plugged into the side connector. Both cables deliver approx 23.6W. The phone requests around 9.0V measured at the charger but you can see the cable voltage drop when measured at the phone. The reel cable appears to use a really fine wire, I'm guessing 26 or 28 gauge. Running 2.7A through that, I can actually feel the warmth of the cable. It is not dangerously hot but it is a few degrees above the ambient temperature. Not sure why the high power USB cable is not delivering more power to the phone with its lower voltage drop. Will need to dig more into the PD spec and run more tests. When the power runs down on the power bank, you can charge it fairly quickly. In the photo with the yellow background, you can see it sucking 28.767W out of the charger. It requests close to the max 20V and down converts that for the batteries. You can feel the power bank getting warm from this.So a decently fast charger for devices that can handle fast PD charging.
I brought this power bank along on a few trips and it's replaced my previous one. I like the retractable cable, it's quite well designed. It's not super long but it's good enough. Not sure about lifespan, but there are other ports for charging (bi-directional or pass-through too) so I'm less concerned. The power display is nice and the charging is a good speed. My one nitpick is the size. I wonder if it could've been wider but thinner, maybe without the retractable cable. As it is, it can't really fit in a pocket easily. I kept it in my jacket pockets but even then it's a bit bulky. Not too big of a concern if you have a bag of some sort with you. Overall, quite happy with this power bank.
The charger fits well in my purse and charges my devices in no time.
This phone charger is compact enough to carry in my backpack or pocketbook. It doesn’t take a super long time to charge up. It will charge my phone if it’s dead on zero and I don’t have to worry about carrying plugs or anything with me all the plugs the plug on the phone is retractable so you just pull it out and plug it into your phone. I charge the charger on a USB
